I was born in the USSR during the Stalin era. "Papa Joe" killed fifty million of his countryman. Chairmen Mao killed seventy million. Hitler killed forty million. Each considered people
who are against their vision of justice to be monsters... exactly as Obama followers view conservatives. In 1973 a deal was made between the US & the USSR and fifty thousand people (my family
included) were exchanged for wheat that the USSR badly needed.
The American Left is bound and determined to convert the USA to a Marxist/Socialist banana republic.
In 1974, after 24 years of oppression, I was sold to the USA for the wholesale price of 20 tons of wheat.
Thank you Americans for purchasing us from slavery. The way I can repay you is to warn you about dangers of socialism that I experienced firsthand.
Needless to say my memories of the USSR are NOT good. Life under a Communist/Marxist/Socialist regime is no fun!
At the end of the year 2008 I realized sadly, that most of the population of the country I'd emigrated to in 1984 — and was so proud to be part of — had, in a moment of weakness,
chosen a socialistic dream over capitalistic reality, the very same capitalistic reality that made this country the best habitat for human beings on the planet
Earth.
